The lesson's in this season's 'Hello, Bold Heart!' teach girls how to share what's in their hearts and help others to do the same. We’re excited to invite our 3rd-5th grade girls to join our Girls on the Run fall 2026 team! It’s a great option for girls looking to build confidence and connections while being more active in a non-competitive space. Be ready for 8 weeks and 16 lessons of meaningful life skills delivered through fun movement based activities and discussions! Activities include: teamwork games, a community impact project, and an end of season 5K! Practices will be Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3:00PM - 4:30PM! Starting September 14th. Register today! The standard program registration fee is $215. GOTR offers financial assistance on a sliding scale based on annual household income. The annual household income is a suggestion - please choose what you can afford to pay. For questions on this program please contact Jana Donato @ jana@gotrrichmond.org

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation and Refund Policy Girls on the Run of Greater Richmond will refund the registration fee (minus $10 administrative charge) if requested prior to the 2nd lesson of a Girls on the Run program. No refunds will be issued for any terminations after the 2nd lesson. In the event that an unforeseen illness or health issue arises after the 2nd lesson, such instances will be handled on a case by case basis. If a site is canceled due to insufficient registration or other circumstances deemed appropriate by Girls on the Run of Greater Richmond, the full registration fee will be refunded. Attendance/Absentee Policy I understand that my girl must be able to commit to the twice per week practices for the entire season. Due to the importance of group dynamics and the experiential learning process of the Girls on the Run curriculum, girls who are absent for more than four (4) practices will no longer be eligible to participate. The absentee policy will not apply to girls who are absent because of COVID-19. Respectful Behavior Policy Participants are expected to behave in a way that permits the coaches to carry out the day’s scheduled activities. Participants who are continually disruptive in a way that prevents the rest of the group from experiencing the benefits of the program may be asked to leave for the rest of the season. A child who engages in behavior that threatens the health or welfare of other participants, administrators or coaches will be released from the program for the remainder of the season. Threatening behavior may include but is not limited to: physical injury, emotional mistreatment, abuse of prescription or illegal drugs, use of alcohol, carrying firearms or other dangerous items, using any item in a dangerous way, or any other activity determined by a coach or administrator to be threatening of another person’s health or well-being. Girls on the Run, its coaches, and administrators reserve the right to remove from participation any child who for any reason does not fit the mission and goals of the organization. Pick Up & Release Policy Children may only be released to guardians, emergency contacts, and authorized individuals listed on the child’s registration form and who are age 16 and up. Authorized individuals will have to show an ID to pick up your child at each GOTR practice until these individuals are known to your child’s coach. (If no photo ID, contact GOTR for other methods of verifying identification.)
